This list is simple yet extremely life changing. #4 is my favorite. – Krystle K
Certainly, there is no magic found on January 1st. We just get the opportunity to reflect on our last year, good and bad, and mentally hit the refresh button. Want the best out of 2015? Here are a few of my tips to make sure that you don’t waste a year wishing that you could do more.
1. Let Go
Yes, that’s the first and most important thing of 2015. Letting go. There are a lot of scary things happening in the world, in our food, in our lives. We can’t sit around and stress forever about “What if…”. There’s two little words I have become fond of: “surrender” and “faith”. Have too much stuff crammed into your home? Let some go. Have too much anger built up? Find new ways to forgive. Don’t let the life experiences that you had wall you in. Let go of the power it has over you… or at least recognize you could be in a better place if you choose to change your attitude today, regardless of the past.
2. Get Healthy
There it is again. You don’t have to over-commit. Just take the time and energy to get to a healthier state this year. You will never regret your health. Mind, body and spirit matter. Go to church, eat less sugar, and get involved in whatever workout suits your personality: yoga, running, Zumba, Crossfit, boxing, whatever.
When the pressure is rising up or you’re suddenly faced with gut-wrenching anxiety: try to pinpoint the exact thing that is bothering you FIRST. Before you start spinning in a downward spiral or blow up, figure out exactly what it was that started the domino effect, and the reason you feel like you have to lose it. Also, exhale.
4. Find your 10
No one else was made exactly like you. Go figure out what 10 things that spark your passion, and find a way to make it a part of your life. There’s a reason that it fills your soul and makes your spirit awaken.
5. Shock yourself
You’ll be amazed to realize that you really can do more than you ever imagined. We all have self-limitations, but we get inspired and raise our personal glass ceilings. Surprise yourself this year! Find out what you’re really made of- I bet it’s more than you thought.
Personally, I’m going to build a bunny cage, make yoga and running an everyday thing, and eat clean.
Wish me luck! Happy New Year!
