7 Must-Pack Supplies For Your Hospital Birth

Stressed out about what to pack? We’ve got your back!

By Krystle K

1- Comfortable Clothes

Warm socks, yoga pants, nursing tanks, large slippers and a robe

2- Toiletries

Bring the works. You will want to feel fresh and semi-presentable for pictures and guests. If you don’t really care about that, just bring a toothbrush. Don’t forget your granny panties or mesh undies. In case you don’t already know…you gonna be needing to wear a big pad after you give birth for a while…

3- Breastfeeding Supplies

Liquid lanolin (the 100 % natural kind, not the cream based brand), Boppy or breastfeeding pillow, breast-pads & nursing bras (make sure to read Breastfeeding: Booby Traps ahead of time)

4- Baby Supplies

Pre-washed blankets, outfits, hats, non-toxic products & pacifiers (if you plan to use them)

5- Camera, Electronics & Accessories

Chargers! Don’t forget your chargers

6- Snacks

Unless hospital food sounds delicious, you will want to pack healthy options to nourish yourself after labor. If you are super-crunchy, you can always snack on your placenta…hehe.

7- Natural Alternatives

Arnica for pain and swelling, coconut oil to moisturize everything (lips get especially chapped), essential oils, postpartum healing herbs and your prenatals.
