Juicing For Kids!

Juicing for your kids is an amazing, fun way to get them to consume more fruits and vegetables that they normally wouldn’t eat raw! We know that raw fruits and veggies have way more nutrients, but it can be tough to stomach for kids. When fruits and veggies are raw they contain more vitamins and minerals, and then when they are juiced, the body receives all of that goodness to the cell level because the body need not put forth effort to digest!

My suggestion to you is to involve your kids in the juicing process! Let them peel, or wash the fruit and veg. Come up with creative names for the juices and have fun with it! The more kids are involved in the process, the more ownership they feel, increasing the likelihood of them partaking!

Here are some of the drinks my girls and I have come up with!

  • Fruity Num Num Cocktail: Peaches, Strawberries, Carrots, Broccoli Stem

  • Green Dina-sour Juice: Green Apple, Spinach, Kale, Cucumber, Peeled Lemon

  • Orange-You-Happy: Carrots, Peaches, Sweet Potato, Broccoli Stem, Apples

  • Operation Juice: Beets, Green Apple, Carrots, Broccoli Stem
